英國倫敦交流團

暑假期間，英文科為中一至中五共20位同學舉辦了英國倫敦交流團，讓同學拓闊國際視野，同時提升英語水平，鞏固學術基礎。交流期間，同學入住大學宿舍，在當地校園上課，親身感受英國的讀書氣氛，對海外留學生活有更真實的體會。宿舍生活也讓同學自行處理日常起居，鍛煉獨立自理的能力。

 

課堂上，同學與來自世界各地的學生一起用英語學習和互動。無論是課堂討論，還是平日相處，都是練習英語的寶貴機會。當地大學亦安排了各式社交活動，鼓勵同學多和其他國家的同學溝通。大家在輕鬆的環境下結識新朋友，英文溝通和表達能力也有所進步。

 

當地導師亦帶領同學走出校園，走訪倫敦不同景點，讓大家在真實生活場景中活用英語。同學參觀了多間博物館，亦遊覽劍橋、牛津大學，親身感受世界頂尖學府濃厚的學術氛圍與歷史底蘊。同學不但加深了對英國文化的認識，也在各項活動中磨練解難和團隊協作的技巧。

 

這次在大學英語環境中學習的經歷，讓同學對英國文化有更深刻的體會，也對日後的升學路向有更清晰的想法。同時，大家亦能體驗國際化的學習環境，喚起對英語的興趣，並開始思考自己未來的發展方向。

 

During the summer holidays, the English Department organised a London Study Tour for 20 students from Form 1 to Form 5, giving our students the chance to broaden their international horizons, improve their English, and strengthen their academic foundations. Throughout the tour, our students stayed in university dormitories and attended classes on campus, experiencing firsthand what studying in the UK is really like and gaining a more realistic picture of life as an overseas student. Living in the dormitories also meant they had to take care of their own daily needs, which helped them become more independent.

In class, they learned and interacted in English with peers from all over the world. Whether it was class discussions or everyday conversations, every moment was a valuable opportunity to practise English. The university also arranged a range of social activities to encourage them to mix with classmates from other countries. In this relaxed environment, they made new friends and improved their English communication and expression.

The local tutors and activity leaders also took them beyond the campus to visit different attractions around London, giving them the chance to use English in real-life situations. They visited several museums and toured the universities of Cambridge and Oxford, immersing themselves in the rich academic atmosphere and historical heritage of these world-class institutions. Not only did they deepen their understanding of British culture, but they also honed their problem-solving and teamwork skills through various activities.

This experience of learning in an English-speaking university environment gave them a deeper appreciation of British culture and a clearer idea of their future study paths. At the same time, they also gained exposure to an international learning environment, which sparked their interest in English and encouraged them to think about the direction they wish to pursue in the future.
